The growing Mental Health crisis is particularly close to our hearts so we felt the weight and urgency when MTV asked us to partner with them on their Mental Health Action Day campaign to be shared across many different brands and channels.

The goal was simple yet very challenging: get as many people as possible to take a single action to help improve their own mental health.

Over a period of 10 weeks we helped write and execute over 20 on air and social spots that combined stock-footage, animation and channel talent to drive to a robust custom website: MentalHealthIsHealth.us where visitors learned of the many simple actions that they could take for their mental health such as breathing exercises, yoga, checking in with a friend, and more.

The campaign kicked off with a series of launch spots to get people to start thinking about mental health just as they do their physical health and to treat it that way.

As Mental Health Action Day got closer, the launch spots gave way to a series of animated spots that laid out the simple actions viewers could take while also driving to the MHIH website.

To round out the campaign, dozens of unscripted spots featured talent delivering honest accounts of how they themselves have struggled with their own mental health, and share what steps they now take to help themselves. The takeaway could not be more important: we ALL have mental health and can learn from one another.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please get help. You’re not in it alone!
